IMUer’s what up how ya’ll livin? I have no complaints at all, the majority of my day has been consumed by music. Listing to music, checking out visuals, interviewing artists, and collecting my thoughts about it all. So let’s get it crackin’. We here at IMU can guarantee you will look away from this and be able to add at least one song to your Summer Mixtape.
🎤10 New Joints From Around The Globe🎸
Two of my favorite voices and creatives have combined forces the result is angelic. SAINt JHN has an infectious vibe, spits real heartfelt lyrics, and controls beats to his will. The music he creates has no boundaries it’s beautiful. SZA has a unique voice, very grounded energy, and makes me want to listen to everything she releases. This joint you can just vibe out to cruising down the E-Way or P-Way the sun setting behind and the ocean is your POV.
Migos & Drake dropped a banger on us. Drizzy is talking that talk for two minutes straight. “Ay unlike the clock at your Momma’s house, I do not have time to hang.” The trio steps up their game a bit, good-hearted competition is great for the industry and only improves everyone involved.
Let me introduce you to Джарахов and Markul. ‘Я В МОМЕНТЕ‘ their new single is the #1 Hip Hop Song in Russia as of today. Even though we don’t know exactly what they are saying we can still catch a cool vibe and bop our head to the beat.
Next up we travel to Singapore to check out rising star YHB Sleepsalot’s new track featuring SonaOne ‘Jatuh Boi.’ Sleep doesn’t sound like he’s been doing much of that on his craft what he’s created here is another of those joints you can vibe and ride out to. A pop-rap vibe with a bit of an edge is what I get from the visuals. If nothing else this song makes me want to hear more.
Sawasdee Khrap 🙏🏼 greetings from Thailand let me introduce you to Artrilla. Art is a breed of Thai emcee that’s found his lane in the pop-hop lane. His new joint ‘เด็กเกาะ (DEK KOH)‘ is a fun trippy song matched with visuals similar to ones we’d see from the late Juice World (Rest In Power King).
No, 🧢 this joint brought tears to my eyes when I first heard it. Calum Scott has crafted a moving ballad with heartfelt lyrics. ‘Biblical’ is such a beautiful song that captures the superhuman powers of a good woman. Men will give up all their BS for a woman who can make them feel what this song depicts.
Two EDM/Dance all-stars have teamed up, remixed a classic record, and have made sure to fill dance floors the entire summer from coast to coast. Norway’s native son Alan Walker joined forces with the new gunslinger in town 20-year-old Imanbek from Kazakhstan. At 17 Imanbek embarked on his path fast forward three years down the line after linking up with SAINt JHN and remixing ‘ROSES’ for which he was awarded a Grammy. Check out the video and the song just in time for the weekend.
The 6 is so much deeper than just Drake. Canada has some serious musical and creative talent. When I first heard the laid-backness, the keys, the sadness, the angst in Scott Helman’s voice I was hooked. The 25-year-old sing-songwriter made me download his whole catalog. “Memories are bullets they get lodged in your head.”
UK songstress is back with an empowering anthem expressing her need for love. Jessie J’s pipes are some of the best in the industry. They shine on this new polished production. Check out her heartwarming snippets on Instagram, I mean shoot who doesn’t ‘Wan’t Love.’
“Sweet But Psycho” singer Ava Max is back with a jam reminding us every time we cry we get a little bit stronger. Keep your head up kids, it always gets better the pain you’re going through is only temporary I promise you I’m living proof. “When the voices get loud I turn them down.”

IMU Exclusive: Meet Lu Priest & Liko Burrell
This weekend I had the pleasure of getting put on to Bronx emcee Lu Priest. This cat is dope, has got various flows, shows he can be gutter if he has to but he also has a good heart, a lethal combo. The production is a new school yet the project feels a bit nostalgic, a rare lane to be in for a newer artist. The bars, cadence, and wordplay are all there. I can hear the influences and get a vibe for the direction Lu Priest is headed. IMUer’s be sure to check out for the interview coming soon. My favorite tracks are “Beat Box” for its rawness ‘n’ confidence, and “Living Wrong” for its vulnerability made me listen bout 7 times back to back.
Meet Lik💔 Barrell
Lik💔 Burrell is a 20-year-old who sounds like he’s been traveling this earth for quite a bit longer than that. His debut project feels timeless and features production from his homie Jmindmusic . Lik💔 is eight tracks spaning 20 minutes of polished production alongside a true R&B vocalist with soul. Today I had the pleasure of interviewing the young-rising star check it out below the music.
