Sunday in Newark the New Jersey Performing Arts Center was filled with stars. The reason for the gathering was to celebrate Black Woman who excel in their craft. Angela Bassett, Regina King, and Ciara were just a few of the incredible woman who gathered for the awards show.
Comedian and Actress Nicey Nash hosted the event and was quoted as saying:
“I am thrilled to host this years Black Girls Rock!”
“We are celebrating Black Woman who serve the World with Style, Grace, Class, and Sass!”
The Awards Show that celebrates Black Excellence in the female community, know that spells U.N.I.T.Y. airs Sunday September, 8th 8pm on BET.
