364,000 Acres Burned In Oregon Bootleg Fire
Oregon is literally burning the largest active wildfire is the size of Los Angeles, prompting thousands to evacuate their homes, at least 160 business and residential properties have been destroyed, and this is only one of 80 plus fires raging across America. Tell me again… we don’t have an issue with our climate?
Oregon, United States: 2,000 fighters are tirelessly attacking the Bootleg Fire with everything they have. I just think of all the animals that will loose their lives, or homes, and there will be a lot less tress producing oxygen. July 6th was when this horrific fire began to burn.
If governments around the globe don’t do anything too seriously combat what’s happening our forests and wildlife could be in for some serious adaptation requirements.
As I write this authorities have reported that nearly one-third (1/3) of the fire’s perimeter had been contained.
John Flannigan is an operations section chief dealing with the Bootleg Fire, he described the intensity of the fire is similar to a hurricane, saying that it ripped trees from the earth.
We’ve had to fight for pretty much every foot of this, but we’re getting there. The blaze has grown so large that it is effectively creating its own weather. Intense wildfires, like Bootleg, move with such energy that they can create pyrocumulus clouds- also know as fire clouds. These clouds are so hot and big they can create their own weather systems, like hurricane and lightning.
