Oleg Sokolov a well-known Russian historian confessed to murdering his former student turned lover Anastasia Yeshchenko.

Oleg was a member of France’s Institute of Social Science, Politics and Economics. On Saturday just hours before he committed murder he was removed of his position on the scientific committee.
Ms Yeshchenko and Sokolov studied French history and frequently dressed up in period costumes. Anastasia even co-authored several works with her lover.

Students say he is a talented lecturer who could speak French and often impersonated Napoleon. They also saw their professor as ‘A Freak‘ who called his former lover ‘Josephine’ and asked students to address him as ‘Sire’. This is according to AFP.
