The last time the Lady Cardinals were in this position was in 1992 one year shy of 30. No more drought, Stanford can drink up and taste the flavors a championship bring.
If you had the privilege to watch this game you were in for a treat. Stanford had Arizona in handcuffs the whole game. The Cards D was tenacious forcing 21 turnovers. Despite the tough defense, Arizona hung in the entire game led by guard Aarion McDonald who dropped 22.
This thriller came down to the last seconds, basketball fans couldn’t ask for a better finale. Stanford had a very balanced attack which was led by 6’1 guard Haley Jones. The Santa Cruz native scored 17 and grabbed 8 boards. The Lady Cardinals were able to hang on 54-53 and bring the trophy home to Stanford. Check out the game highlights below.

The Bears of Baylor were able to bring home the ultimate prize in college basketball ending the program’s ‘titless’ streak which began in 1949-50. Baylor came out swinging from the jump and never let up the gas. The Bears D frustrated Gonzaga all night. Zaga was led by future NBAer Jalen Suggs who was able to drop 22 against a stingy defense.
Baylor came out with confidence and a balanced attack, four players scored in double figures. Jared Butler led the way with 22 and dished out 7 dimes. The Bears put a stop to Gonzaga’s perfect season with a dominant 86-70 victory. Congrats Baylor on your first Nation Title enjoy the feelings and remember the memories forever!
