Bubba Wallace Makes History In His Hometown

NASCAR History: Bubba Wallace became the first Black Driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series in 58 years. Not since 1963 had it been done when Wendell Scott won in Jacksonville, Florida. Not only did Bubba win the series he got to do it in his hometown state of Alabama. That’s a storybook victory if there ever was one. The win was so historic Wallace even received a call from Michael Jordan! MJ is the co-owner of the team Wallace races for.
Congratulations Bubba, enjoy every moment of this, and great luck next year defending the cup. IMUer’s check the highlights below and get to know a bit more about Bubba Wallace. Being only the second African American to ever win a cup series I can only imagine the sense of joy and pride Mr. Wallace is feeling today after his historic victory.
