No one can touch on sensitive subjects with profound insight, no filter or care, have you saying valid point, and make us laugh hysterically. Dave Chappelle is in a class all his own. He’s not wrong people today are too sensitive, the Baby Boomers produced a soft generation. It’s not bad to be sensitive and love makes the world go round yes. When it comes to people not being able to take a joke or getting offended there is a thin line to cross in the PC culture. Dave walks that line better than anyone and he’s been able to not get “canceled” like so many before him.
“The Closer” Chappelle’s 6th and final…for know… stand-up special was the one that solidifies his rare air category. He kept saying it throughout the show “I’m Going All The Way.” The way Dave goes at people on the mic is the way Em goes at them when he’s in the both. Everybody got touched in “The Closer,” White people, Black people, Asians, Spanish, Transgender, and the LGBTQ community.
Needless to say, since the special aired on Netflix Chappelle is taking some serious heat. If some comedians said the things he did they would most certainly get ‘canceled.’
