Rockton, Illinois: Chemtool Inc. chemical plant ignited causing extreme levels of concern and mandatory evacuations for the surrounding region. The cause for the fire is yet to be determined but the investigation is ongoing. As the situation stands firefighters began very cautiously fighting the blaze because of all the chemicals around and burning. As the fire got closer to the Rock river the concern was that if firefighters kept dumping water on the blaze the water would mix with chemicals and run off into the river.
