Destiny Harrison Slain In Her Own Salon Boxing Champ Gervonta Davis Covers Funeral Cost
Destiny Harrison was a daughter, mother, and friend. She was fatally gunned down after getting robbed weeks before.
WMAR reported that on December 10, Destiny filed charges against two people who lived near her salon. She caught them in the back of her business stealing merchandise. Harrison in a written testimony accused one of the suspects of holding her down while the other one hit and stomped on her after she demanded her property back.
The two suspects refused and left the store with $3,000 dollars worth of hair bundles. Harrison told the court commissioner she knew one of the suspects had a violent background and she was scared for herself and others.
I’m sorry but what is this world coming to, beating on a woman for some damn hair extensions is so pathetic and such a lowlife thing to do.
WMAR also reported that the couple was charged with burglary, assault and theft. Harrison also filed a peace order against the man that was issued on December 19. The order stated he may not have any contact with Harrison and must stay away from her salon.
None of that stopped anyone from waltzing right into her salon and opening fire killing the 21-year-old where she stood.
Boxing champ and fellow Baltimore native Gervonta Davis heard the news and was appalled. He took to twitter and said if the family needed anything like pay for the funeral or anything like that he urged them to reach out.

Gervonta followed through with his statement. It’s a beautiful thing to see people helping each other in a time of need.
On Thursday, December 26th a candlelight vigil was held for Harrison. Police still have not arrested anyone for her murder. Our thoughts and prayers at IMU Media go out to Destiny’s family and friends in their time of grief.
