EA Sports Boom Has Found Its Way To Africa

Nigeria, Africa: In a lot of foreign countries to make a living for yourself is not the easiest thing to manage. Options aren’t as vast and opportunities are limited by technology. That is slowly starting to change for a few towns in Africa. Broadband service is improving helping get the World Wide Web and video game streaming onto the screens of families who’ve never experienced what it’s like.
That brings opportunity. When I was a kid growing up I was the first with Nintendo on my block I used to love playing video games. I still enjoy them don’t get me wrong, how they’ve progressed over the years is amazing. Everything from the movie-like storylines to the real-life actors playing your favorite characters.
When I was younger I used to waste hours playing video games, now if you do that same exact thing you can turn time into millions and millions of dollars. EA Sports has become a billion-dollar business that is transcending globally with nowhere to go but up.
IMUer’s watch the video to meet a 14-year-old from Nigeria who began playing FIFA with his cousins when he was 3. It was almost an instant love when he picked up that controller. Fast forward 11-years later he’s put himself in a position to help his family already winning $5,000 in tournaments so far.
