Tennesse Floods Have Taken 22 Lives, 51 Others Missing
Tennesse, TN: Destructive deadly floods have struck the southeastern US state of Tennessee, killing 22 people. 51 people have just been reported still missing. Record-breaking rainfall sent flash floods surging through central areas of the state, swallowing up homes and vehicles. Telephone lines & mobile phone communications were disrupted and roads became impassable.
The national weather center says one county was smacked with 43 centimeters of rain in just 24 hours, insane! Children and adults drowned, and many people are still missing. In the tangled debris, even the rescuers fear it might be too late to find survivors. The ones left are beginning to salvage what they can of their livelihoods. As local residents are setting up makeshift food stations to help their neighbors, US President Biden has promised aid. Federal support can’t come soon enough as devastated communities in Tennesse survey the scene and assess the damages.
