Nebraska, Wisconsin: Daniel Berry former Army Veteran was looking for camaraderie. After spending years in a brotherhood one can’t understand unless they’ve experienced it themselves. That feeling of lack must be so overwhelming at times. We all want to feel we belong somewhere, we get in where we fit in. Sometimes we can fit in but it’s the wrong fit. Mr. Berry realized he may have found what he was seeking but it came with a price.
Daniel was at the local VFW post one day having a conversation explaining how he felt so the gentleman asked if he’d ever heard of the proud boys? Berry embarked on a journey that led him to camaraderie, brotherhood, and down the line real nasty racism. Yet the Proud Boys claim to be open to all cultures, creeds, and religions. USA Today got ahold of the former proud boy to get his take on the experience.
