Funk Flex Fires Shots At The Industry For ‘Slippin’ On DMX
Funk Master Flex is a staple in Hip-Hop culture. Regardless of how you may feel about the man he’s built himself a platform that allows him to speak his mind. Over the years Flex has taken jabs and criticism over how he perceives things but in this instance, the bomb droppin (Sometimes OD haha) DJ should be heard.
I know from personal experience issues with substance abuse and depression are a deadly combo. How many of us know that one friend we think about and we know how they struggle. As the years pass by the grip loosens. Next thing you know your sending prayers up shedding tears wondering if there was anything you could have done. ‘If I would have just answered the last time he called.’
The music business is a gorilla. It’s a bottomless pit of happiness or depression I don’t wanna say people don’t help you but I do want to say there are people who actually know when a star is struggling but don’t always get the best help when money is begin made. It’s rough for someone like DMX who may be in a mental and emotional state of childhood trauma that has happened to him and then being thrown into money and fame.
