Germany: The three parties that make up the coalition in Germany are in talks that are progressing in favor of legalizing cannabis. The Social Democrats, Liberals, and Greens all want a regulated system for the cultivation, distribution, and sale of cannabis. They want to make sure not only the consumer is benefiting but also the pharmaceutical industry. Luxembourg became the first EU state to legalize the plant Germany is looking to become the second.
