Hip-Hop Icon Biz Markie Passed Away He Was Just 57

My heart is heavy this morning as I write this the culture lost another soldier on Friday beatboxing icon and “Just A Friend” emcee Biz Markie passed away. The cause of his passing is yet to be determined. Biz was born in Harlem on April 8, 1964, and passed in Baltimore, Maryland on July 16, 2021. His wife was by his side at the time of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers here at IMU Media go out to Biz’s family and friends.
