On Tuesday in the basement of the Capitol, Democrats came to the decision in a closed-door meeting according to Democratic sources. Pelosi said on Friday she was ready to end the showdown and told lawmakers she asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) to write up a resolution to transmit the articles.
