Memorial Day is looming and the world is moving again, music makes the world go round so we’re blessing ya’ll with you some songs you need to add to your summer mixtape, plus tell you our favorite project from last week.
This Friday we’re kicking it off with a relative newcomer whose bars are respected and he’s paired alongside a seasoned vet. Chi-town native Polo G stepped on the scene in 2017 by 2021 with the release of ‘Rapstar’ he had his first #1 single. The melodic rapper’s new single “Gang Gang” got some bars from one of the G.O.A.T.’s. ๐ Lil Wayne came in did what he does, take it over. Exactly what unfolded, draped out in fly gear like always. Polo G is emerging as one of the most promising new emcees.

88Rising & Warren Hue- Too Many Tears
The Asian collective of artists known as 88Rising dropped a single on us “Too Many Tears.” Rising Indonesian rapper Warren Hue took center stage in the dope trippy visual directed by James Defina. The fashion on display is top-notch and the cinematography is dope.
Green Day- Pollyanna
Indi Rock legends and Punk Rockers at heart Green Day have dropped a summertime anthem on us that lets us reflect on the joy of simply being alive. “Share your bread with friends you don’t know/ Hold the truth and never let go/ Don’t give up and go with what you know’s for real/. Thank you, Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre the world needs this one ๐๐ผ.
Twenty One Pilots- Saturday
The Columbus, Ohio duo is back with their 6th project ‘Scaled And Icey.’ As soon as “Saturday” came on I had to get up and move around. It’s impossible not to “But on Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, we paint the town.” Do yourselves a favor and check this duo out if you haven’t already.
Dave East & Millyz- Pablo & Blanco
Crime storyteller and proud NYC native Dave East teamed up with Millyz to weave tales into mini-movies we can play out in our minds as the words swim through our ears. From the first few seconds we know were going on a trip so strap in IMUer’s and let Pablo and Blanco transport ya’ll for 14 minutes.
BTS- Butter
I see this song playing in a club in Thailand my homies are D Jaying and from behind the booth we see hundreds of people dancing their hearts out to this one. The South Korean group BTS is composed of Jin Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Debuting in 2013 the pop group has released 9 studio albums. 5 Korean- language albums and 4 Japanese- language albums. Their new single “Butter” is sure to fill the dance floors this summer.
Tobe Nwigwe & Fat Nwigwe
Wow Wow Wow. Tobe’s been one of my favorites ever since I first saw him spit at the Verified Conference in Philly in 2019. The new single him and the squad cooked up is something serious ya’ll. Tobe & Fat Nwigwa have dropped some serious ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ on us “FYE FYE” is that joint enjoy IMUer’s and please leave us all of your feedback in the comments section.
