Avalon, New Jersey: What up ya’ll how are you this afternoon? I’m doing great I just spent hours listening to the new joints that came out today. I have compiled a list of some of the projects and singles that caught my ear this morning as I listened to driving around Ubering. Enjoy this week’s Fire Friday’s IMUer’s and leave us any feedback in the comments section and please be sure to subscribe in the top right corner. Listen to these tracks man!
Benny The Butcher- “Pyrex Picasso”
“The Butchers Coming.” With his new project, “Pyrex Picasso” Benny tapes into his soul, over the bluesy, street, movie score like production. Seven tracks, 19 minutes in length with features from Elcamino, Rick Hyde, and Conway The Machine. A solid tape that paints tales of crimes and riches. Definitely worth the listen Benny is establishing himself into a household name.
The Killers- “Pressure Machine”
Brandon Flowers and the boys are back rocking and rolling with their 7th studio album “Pressure Machine.” The album is a letter to the places you grew up, the nostalgia, back to the days when you had to come home when the street lights came on. New instruments, techniques, and more personal songwriting make for an album unlike any The Killers have released before.
Big Red Machine Ft. IIsey- ‘Mimi’
This folky, poppy, feel-good record has me intrigued to see the whole body of work from Big Red Machine. The single they released last week caught my ear as well. ‘BRM’ now has my attention. Check out the snippet below and don’t forget to leave us your feedback about all the new joints your hearing.
Maisie Peters- ‘You Signed Up For This’
UK Pop singer Maisie Peters caught my ear this morning with her single the track that kicks off her album ‘You Signed Up For This.’ The 21-year-old caught the attention of Ed Sheehan and will be dropping her debut project on August 27th. Her new single is an upbeat feel-good anthem you can rock to at any point of the night.
DJ Snake Ft. Rich Brian & Rick Ross- ‘Run It’
Sheeeesh Snake this beat is crazy crazy! Rich Brian does his thing on the record spitting some nice bars, but Ricky Rozay! Mr. Ross hoped on this beat and flowed with it perfectly swimming through the drums with ease. We officially have another hit from DJ Snake.
Wale Ft. Yella Beezy & Maxo Kream- ‘Down South’
I just want to say for me this is so dope, back in 2014 I was reviewing Maxo Kream’s first record. Fast Forward 7 years and my boy is on a track with one of the most underrated Emcees in the game Wale. Bro this record goes hard and will be sure to be heard knocking out of whips well into the fall.
Tech N9ne Ft. Stige- ‘I Been Thru A Lot’
Alucard AKA Tech N9ne is back with ‘I Been Thru A Lot.’ I must say after the first few listens this is one of my favorite Tech songs to date. The production is on point, the rhyming is there like always but it’s like he slowed down just a tad so the people can really grasp what he’s saying. Enjoy a dope record IMUer’s from one of the greatest to ever pick up a mic. Brought to you by Fire Friday’s.
21 Savage & Rich Brian Ft. Warren Hue & MASIWEI
21 & Rich Brain have teamed up with Warren Hue & Masiwei and gifted us with an absolute banger. ‘Lazy Susan’ is a record that goes dumb hard and will be sure to keep the dance floors packed. I dare you to try and not nod your head, definitely one you can add to the Summer mixtape. Hope you enjoyed this week’s Fire Friday’s.
