In Iran, Protests Have Erupted In The Streets
On Sunday in Iran protesters filled the streets and applied pressure on the leadership. The protesters demanded that top authorities quit. “They are lying that our enemy is America, our enemy is right here.”
The people in Iran are furious after the Iranian military admitted they mistakenly shot down a Ukrainian airliner. For days they denied they had any involvement, even after Canada and America said the plane was shot down.
The Iranian military shot a missile that brought down the Ukranian airliner killing all 176 innocent people on board. Many of the passengers on board were Iranians with dual citizenship, and 57 were Canadian.

Public anger has come to a boiling point following days of denial from the Iranian military. Residents of Tehran told Reuters, police made their presence felt in the capital on Sunday.
The protests began on Saturday as locals filled the streets chanting “Death to the Dictator.” The anger being directed at the Islamic Republic’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
