Iran Sends Warnings To Protesters As Unrest Grows
Tehran- Protesters in Iran continue to take to the streets and stand against the government after they admitted to shooting down a Ukrainian passenger plane.
The Iranian authorities warned protesters to stop their anti-government demonstrations. Videos have surfaced showing security forces using tear gas to subdue protesters this weekend.
Hossein Rahimi Tehran’s metropolitan police chief warned abusers of the situation that the country’s security forces would vigorously defend the security of the Iranian people.
U.S. based center for Human Rights in Iran shared a video which appeared to show tear gas being fired at protesters and gunshot injuries. Mr. Rahimi denies his forces opened fire to stifle the protests over the weekend.
