J.COLE FT. LUTE & DABABY MAKE A CLASSIC VIDEO “UNDER THE SUN”

Under The Sun starts off in a way you instantly connect with if you’ve ever been to a bodega in the city with the homies on a Saturday morning after a night of partying, you need that breakfast sandwich to get you right.
J.Cole starts us off on the track co-produced by Christo, Pluss, and Nice Rec. with classic Cole material; “I been on the craziest wave, if I’m on the stage/ An M is my minimum wage/ This ain’t no kennel, behave/ N****s is with all that barking, we send em a stray/ So in a way we the dog catchers/ How many bullets your dog catching?”
The video is well shot and feels super authentic, and was handled by four individuals; Scott Lazer, Aisultan Seitov, David Peters and Chad Tennies. The visuals scream Hip-Hop culture from the fashion to the architecture and surrounding buildings, it simply shows three guys chilling walking around the city doing regular stuff. I’m not opposed to seeing sexy woman running around, but it’s nice to have a video where the focus is actually on what the individual has to say and the message they are sending. North Carolina is establishing itself as a new hot bad of talent as of late. 9th Wonder was one of the first to come out of NC, followed in his footsteps came, Cole, Lute, and DaBaby all representing for their hometown.
After waking up for some money Lute kicks off verse two; “Potato over my gun/ I move in silence ‘cause n****s be clocking my funds/ When they should keep an eye on they bitch/ ‘Cause baby girl coming with son”/
Again we wake up for that money and DaBaby arguably the hottest new artist out at the moment, and with possibly the iciest wrist in the game, bodies his verse. “I just put diamonds on all of my teeth/ Now they probably think I ain’t intelligent/ In the homicide unit interrogation askin questions/ You know I ain’t tell ’em shit”/ Is how the how DaBaby starts us off.
“Don’t acknowledge the shrimps when they ridicule/ They don’t come out after dark, bitch, I swim with the sharks”/
