Jay-Z And The NFL Are About To Inspire Change

I think everyone who’s scrutinizing Jay-Z and his partnership with the NFL should take a deep breathe and really look at the position this man has put himself in. From this tier change is a real possibility, that’s exactly what Shawn Carter is planning to do. The first move Jay made was earlier this month he inked a deal with his company Roc Nation and the NFL that puts them in control of major entertainment events, including the Super Bowl halftime show.

Now the next wave of the movement includes two huge platforms music and fashion. The intention is to tackle entertainment and social injustice initiatives. Artists who are involved in the venture are the ones who designed the apparel line, so fans will surely want to get their mitts on something exclusive from their favorite artist. The other half of this two headed monster “Songs of the Season,” will feature original music you can only hear on the day of the broadcast, so you’ve got your music junkies as well. The songs will be featured on all streaming platforms and the proceeds will support charitable ventures.
This Thursday September 5th it all kicks off in Chi-town at Grant Park with a free concert, then to Soldier Field where the Chicago Bears will be taking on the Green Bay Packers a storied football rivalry, the perfect way to kick off the NFL’s 100th season.

In one day a clothing line rolls out, a free concert featuring heavy weights Meek Mill, Rapsody, and Meghan Trainor goes down, and its the start of the NFL season. I would say Jay-Z is settling in nicely and is in a spot to bring about some real changes.

It’s been reported Jay-Z and Colin Kaepernick have been in discussions prior to the partnership. “We forget that Colin’s whole things was to bring attention to social injustice, in that case this is a success.”
“This is the next thing, because there are two parts to the protest. You go out and protest and the company and the individual says, I hear you. What do we do next.”
The day of the press conference Jay had with the league Kaepernick wrote, “I continue to work and stand with the people in our fight for liberation, despite those who are trying to erase the movement! The movement has always lived with the people!”
IMUer’s what are your thoughts do you agree with the haters or do you see the vision that a Jay-Z has.
