Kinyatta E. Gray is honoring her late mother superbly. The Author and CEO of FlightsInStilettos decided to become an author to honor her mother’s dream of becoming a published author. Kinyatta’s mother passed away unexpectedly in 2018, since then Miss Gray has been on a mission.
Kinyatta released her first book ‘30 Days: Surviving The Trauma And Unexpected Loss Of A Single Parent As An Only Child‘ which was released on October 21, 2019, exactly one year after her mother’s passing.
Her second book ‘Passing As Straight: Beautiful Women Whose True Sexuality Went Undetected By A Judgmental Society’ was released on January 30, 2020. The book has already reached best-seller status on Amazon it can also be purchased at Walmart and Barnes & Noble!
A brief synopsis of the book goes a little something like this; How many times have you felt invisible in a room full of people? How many masks have you worn to hide your true identity? How many heterosexual relationships did you engage in pretending to be in love? What was your biggest fear when finally letting your family and friends know, you are a beautiful feminine lesbian?
The book centers on six courageous women who share their real-life situations of having to hide behind a mask because our society is such a judgemental one. No longer do these truly courageous women have to pretend, sharing their story has helped empower them so they now can empower others who are in the same shoes they were. To all the women out there struggling with this, you are not alone!
Kinyatta’s book continues to rise the ranks and has been highlighted on various media outlets such as: IHeart Radio, The Madison Jaye Show, Fashion Gxd Magazine, The Bunnie Hole, Mogul, My Girl Gang, and Definitely Amazing just to name a few.
Congratulations Kinyatta you are truly making your mother proud and great luck with your future endeavors. To find out more about this rising star you can follow her on Instagram and check out her website kinyattaray.com.
