Everyone used their pandemic time differently. Some wisely others not so much. 12-year-old North Carolina native Mike Wimmer takes the efficiency prize hands down. During COVID, Wimmer achieved something that takes complete focus and an insane amount of self-discipline. Which is the key ๐ to freedom. He was able to complete two years of high school and he’s getting his associate’s degree, that’s 4 years of school in 1 year.
On May 21, Wimmer will graduate from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and on May 28 he will receive his diploma as the valedictorian. He carried a GPA of 4.0 at RCCC and a 5.45 GPA in high school. That’s just plain impressive and motivational. The feats we could achieve as humans if we were half as focused as Mike.
Robotics Lover And A Genius
At just 18 months of age, Lil Mikey received his first iPad. Setting the perfect example of how beneficial technology can be when used correctly. Wimmer’s affinity for technology led him to online videos where he learned programming and robotic knowledge. With the information gathered it was time for Mike to take the next step, he created a startup, “Reflect Social.” What it does is “combines popular social media platforms with Internet of Things (lot) devices providing a new dynamic social experience.” The explanation his website gives.
My entrepreneurial goal is to build technology that enables people to live better lives.
A lot of people think I’ve given up my childhood or somehow lost it, and I say to them that I’m having the time of my life.”
