Megan Thee Stallion NPR TINY DESK IS A MUST WATCH
Even though we have been following “The Stallion” since the start of her career. This year alone has been the highlight. Without a doubt, Megan Thee Stallion will become a household name for herself in 2020.
The Texas-based MC went to NPR for herTiny Desk Performance. I must say I’m an extreme fan of the NPR Tiny Desk performances but this one right here turned out to be of the best I’ve seen thus far. Megan quickly states before it aired “Don’t be scared to get ratchet” right before she goes in on her raps and is changing from her leather heels into some fuzzy Louis Vuitton slippers.
For those that are familiar with Meg will tell you she gets straight to the X rated point with her art, no questions asked. But at NPR she controlled her usual self for the intimate setting.
Known for her usual twerking during her performances the Hot Girl Summer hitmaker showed another skill that she has which is timing and controlling her lung capacity; if you are not a musician or performer you will have no idea how important that is for a live set. No matter how much many will not admit it she has a lyrical ability and a style that is driving this new generation out of this world. She performed a 25 plus minute setlist of her favorites; Realer, Freak Nasty, Cash S***, Big Ole Freak, Hot Girl Summer, F**** Around and Money Good. Her band consisted of Elbee Thrie: vocal, percussion; Elijah Rawk: guitar; Maffyuu: drums; Aja Grant: keys; Bari Bass: bass; Ebony Joi: vocals. You all did a wonderful job.
Ending with a special thank you to NPR, Megan has a standing ovation from the crowd as they were pleased with what they had witnessed. Take the time to check out this freestyle that put me on to her two years ago below.
