NBA Round Up: Scores, Highlights, And The Top 10 Plays
Basketball fans around the world got a full slate of games last night 18 teams were in action.
One of the most anticipated was the Brooklyn Nets game which saw the return of Kevin Durant and welcomed Zion Williamson to town. Russel Westbrook recorded another triple-double, Utah faced off against Phoenix, and the Nuggets won their 7th straight. Come with me as we go around the league, let us start in the nation’s capital. The Orlando Magic rolled into town to tussle with the Wizards.
Washington Vs Orlando
Westbrook led the way for Washington. Russ notched out 23 points hitting 8 of his 11 shots, grabbed 14 boards, and dished out 15 dimes. Bradley Beal added 26 as the Wizards cruised past the Magic 131-116. Terrance Ross led Orlando with 24 points.
Jazz Vs Suns
Phoenix let Utah know they will not lie down and concede the number 2 slot in the division. Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined for 64 points and the Suns outlasted the Jazz in OT 117-114 in a thriller. Donovan Mitchell was the leading scorer adding another 41 to his season total.
Memphis Vs Atlanta
The Grizzlies attacked the Hawks with a well-balanced assault. Five players scored in double figures, led by Grayson Allens 30 point effort. Bogdan Bogdanovic led the Hawks with 24 but it wasn’t enough. Memphis took this one 131-113.
Mavericks Vs Rockets
What a difference a year makes. The Mavericks don’t look like the same team last year that was dominant at times. Last night they fell to the rebuilding Rockets who were led by 31 from John Wall. Kristaps Prozingis and Luka Doncic both scored 23 in the losing effort.
Spurs Vs Nuggets
Denver was able to capture their seventh victory in a row Wednesday night against the Spurs 106-96. The game was close until the fourth quarter when the Nuggets took over. Led by their force of nature Nikola Jokic, he lit the Spurs up for 25, dished out 10 AST, and grabbed 9 boards.
Hornets Vs OKC
The Hornets squad was clicking on all cylinders last night they had 7 players in double figures. Jalen McDaniels led the way he dropped a career-high 21. Charlotte went on to win 113-102.
Knicks Vs Celtics
This old rivalry was fun to watch last night, it helps the Knicks are actually decent and their playoff hopes are still alive. Boston and their combo of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were just enough to get past RJ Barrett and the Knicks 101-99.
T-Wolves Vs Pacers
In the highest-scoring contest of the evening, the well-balanced Pacers attack was just enough to get past the T-Wolves 141-137. Karl Anthony Towns led the Wolves with 32, while Indiana had 7 players in double figures.
Pelicans Vs Nets
The most anticipated matchup of the evening went down in Brooklyn last night. Zion Willamson and the Pelicans came into town and got to face Kevin Durant on his first night back. KD did not disappoint in just under 19 minutes he was a perfect 5 for 5 shooting with 17 points, 5 AST and 7 rebounds. Kyrie Irving led the Nets with 24 points and Zion had 16 for New Orleans.
