NY Teen Kidnapped By Stranger From Minecraft Found In VA
Long Island, New York: Minecraft is the best-selling videogame of all time since it dropped in 2009, 200 million copies have been sold, and with 126 million monthly subscribers Minecraft is top dawg. With that many people involved in playing it’s easy to get lured away by the allure of something new. The communication players can have with one another is seamless and unmonitored. Parents must be aware of who their children are communicating with online or they could find themselves in a similar situation.
A Long Island teenager built a friendship with a 20-year-old he met playing Minecraft. They communicated via chatroom for months until this predator mustered up enough courage to meet up with the teen. Yesterday his plan began to unfold the teen rode his bike to a shopping center where he met a 20-year-old Tennessee man.
Thanks to the help of surveillance cameras the two were found asleep at a rest stop in Virginia. Parents, please monitor your kids’ conversations online. IMUer’s leave us your feedback and please be sure to subscribe in the top right corner.
