One Year After George Floyd Was Murdered What Has Changed?
I remember last year how outraged I felt after hearing about then seeing what Derek Chauvin did to George Floyd over a misdemeanor. His life was not in danger in the least he still felt the need to forcefully press his knee onto George’s neck to the point he gasps out several times “I Can’t Breathe” until he finally can’t after 9 minutes. Nothing gives another human the right to play GOD.
Blind Justice– This means that justice is impartial and objective. Do not treat friends differently from strangers, or rich people better than the poor ones. (Google)

That is hands down the fairest way to deal with the justice system, unfortunately, we all know this is not always the case. Joe Biden’s goal was to have a Police Reform Bill passed by today. That is not going to happen but the bill is close. In March house democrats passed the George Floyd Justice and Policing Act which ends no-knock warrants, bans chokeholds, and creates a national registry for police brutality. 82 bills have been enacted across 22 states to deal with police brutality.
The nation did begin to heal and justice was served when Chauvin got convicted but it can’t end there. Yes, progress has been made, for George’s untimely passing but we need it to have as much of an impact as possible the murders by the police must stop. They must fear the justice system as much as they fear a different pigmentation.
