Police Begin To Collect The Evidence Left Behind At Polytechnic University What They Found Was Wild
12 days after sieging Polytechnic University in Hong Kong, police declared the violent protests have come to a conclusion.
Nearly two weeks of chaos that saw hundreeds of arrests, crazy property damage, medieval weaponry and riot police armed with rubber bullets and water cannons, has ceased.
On Thursday nearly 100 police officers entered the campus with one objective in mind, collecting evidence. What they turned up was wild. 3,989 petrol bombs, 1,339 other explosive items, 601 bottles of corrosive liquids, and 573 weapons. Those kids were armed to the teeth.
It is said it could take upwards of six months to repair all the damage caused during the standoff. Assistant Commissioner of Police Chow-Yat-ming also had this to say;
“The force is happy to see that the process has been conducted peacefully, and I want to reiterate that we have always followed two main principles, ‘peaceful resolution’ and ‘flexibility’
“Police have zero tolerance for violence or lawbreaking, and we will continue to investigate this case.”
