Qassem Soleimani Funeral Leads To A Stampede That Killed Over 50 And Left Hundreds Injured
Thousands of mourners gathered to pay their respects to General Soleimani and it cost some people their lives.
A stampede broke out in the city of Kerman as Soleimani’s body was carried through the streets. Iranian authorities were unable to control the massive crowds and chaos broke out.
The stampede left 213 people injured and over 50 people lost their lives honoring the General.
Abbas Amian who is the director-general of Kerman’s coroner bureau had this to say to IRNA news.
“The death toll of this incident is over 50. Most of them are men, ranging from young to adults.
