Queen Elizabeth II has finalized an agreement for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal split.
Under the new deal they will lose the titles of His and Her Royal Highness, they will no longer receive public funds for their duties, and they even have to repay the $3 million that was spent on renovating their U.K. home.
Last week the couple shocked the world when they decided they wanted to walk away from the Royal Family and pursue a life outside of England. Days following the announcement Harry’s grandmother the Queen summoned him for a family meeting.
In a recently released statement, the Monarch said; “They have found a constructive and supportive way forward for her grandson and his family.”
Last week in a statement The Queen said; “Meghan and Harry made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives.”
“I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond, and I am particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family. It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.”
