For four decades Redman’s been bodying beats with a caliber of wordplay that puts him in a very secluded club. Newark’s son, Reggie Nobel broke into the game in 1990 on EPMD’s album “Business as Usual.” Last Friday our team did a write-up when we first heard the audio for “80 Barz.”
In true fashion on 4/20, the cannabis enthusiast blessed us with the visual to accompany that audio. The video is great for its simplicity. Majority of the time we jump back and forth seeing clips of Red spittin’, rocking two dope fits that contrast each other well.
While you kiss a**/ I'm on the frontlines/ spittin like I'm unsigned/ Watch a n**** unwind/ pyscho ward admitted/ Tell the judge I did it."
IMUer’s please enjoy the video above, also let us know your favorite Redman verse or song. To our fans around the globe, who would you like to see Reggie collab with he hasn’t yet? Drop the artist’s name in the comments.
