ReThinking The Office 4 Day Work Weeks
The Pandemic In America: What work looks like is changed forever. Over the last few years, you can’t help but be familiar with the phrase “Work Smarter Not Harder.” It may be a slight bit cheesy but it’s the absolute truth. I’ve read articles about other countries implementing some of these new tactics into the workforce and the results are eye-opening.
No one wants to slave away 40-60hrs a week when there are only 168hrs in the week. If you sleep 7hrs a day that’s 49hrs Let’s call it 50 for discussion’s sake. If you are on salary it’s not far-fetched you will work 60hrs a week and sleep 50 that’s 110hrs which leaves you with just 58hrs to do what you choose. That is not a way of life unless you absolutely love what you are doing for your career.
The new tactics implore a 4-day work and working fewer hours instead of 8hrs let’s do 4-5hrs of focused work. This week California introduced legislation to reduce the workweek. The results around the globe have been great production has gone up and so has the morale.
The last time the workweek changed what when Henry Ford was around 100 years ago. IMUer’s watch the video to learn more about how the workweek is going to change. Leave us your comments below and please be sure to subscribe in the top right corner.
