South Sudan Is Learning Cooking & Crops From Thai Engineers
South Sudan: For years on years now South Sudan has been dealing with civil war. All the fighting has torn up and devastated the soil which has reduced the agricultural input significantly. Thai Peacekeepers have come in to try and help. The Thai people are setting up agricultural demonstration plots in the Capital city of Juba.
The demo plots have been set up to teach residents how to grow their own crops successfully using contemporary farming practices. After they learn how to grow and harvest, they will then learn how to prepare and cook the food they grew themselves. This is an amazing stepping stone to help the people of Sudan get back on their feet. The Thai people never cease to impress me with their kindness and willingness to help others.
