Spiritual Leader For The Wu-Tang Clan Popa Wu Has Left This Earth
Popa Wu was a father figure to the young men of Wu-Tang and has been with the clan for the majority of their careers. His passing was confirmed earlier today with posts from GZA and Method Man.
Popa Wu lived in Staten Island, New York and has been involved in the lives of the Wu-Tang since the start. When RZA was just a baby Pops Wu new he was special, earlier this year he was quoted as saying; “When RZA was born, he was put into my arms as a baby. I always told him he was going to be a great man.”
Wu introduced Clan members and mentored them in the ‘Five Percent Nation Of Gods And Earths.’ Teaching the men how important ‘Knowledge Of Self’ really is.
During the last 20 years Popa Wu has appeared on various Wu-Tang records including Raekwon’s “North Star”, Ghostface Killah’s “All That I Got Is You” and the intro on “Wu-Tang Forever,” just to name a few.
