The Hip-Hop culture has helped shape my life in such a positive way I’m so grateful for all the words I’ve heard that helped me through some of my darkest days shining such bright light on what can be. Just stick to the dream, have a vision of what really can be, and chase it down until it blossoms. The groundbreaking in the Bronx made the dream come full circle for artists like NAS, Fat Joe, Grand Master Flash, Naughty By Nature, the list goes on. When those shovels scooped those first piles of dirt Hip-Hop officially cemented itself as a respected genre of music.
The ceremony was emotional for the pioneers, recently inducted Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer LL Cool J began by telling us what Hip-Hop meant to him. He then welcomed NAS to the stage, who couldn’t have been prouder of this historical moment.
