28-year-old Joshua Brown tragically lost his life after begin shot three times at around 10:30 p.m Friday evening in Dallas TX. Officer Amber Guyger, Botham Jean and Brown all lived in the same complex in September 2018 when Guyger pulled the trigger killing Botham after she thought he was breaking into her apartment. Guyger told reporters she thought Jean’s apartment was her’s? On Wednesday she was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 48hrs later Brown ends up dead.
Assistant district attorney and lead prosecutor in the Guyger case Jason Hermus had this to say about Brown; “He bravely came forward to testify when others wouldn’t.”
“If we had more people like him, we would have a better world.”
Lee Merritt, who represents the Jean family said via tweet he spoke with Brown’s mother; “She is devastated.” Merritt also had this to say through social media on his Instagram account.
