The Middle East, Afghanistan: The longest war in American history is creeping towards an ending but America is just going to turn their backs on the Afghan people and let the Taliban run amok? Since 2001 the US has had foreign troops in Afghanistan after the 911 attacks on US soil, we made sure our presence was very well felt.

Fast forward to August 2021 the last of the American forces are departing the country and the Taliban tyrants are licking their lips. As fewer and fewer American soldiers are around the more and more Taliban militants are moving to surround the main hubs of control around the city.

Renewed fighting has kicked up on the outskirts of the western city of Herat between Afghan fighters and Taliban forces. This has caused hundreds to flee their homes seeking shelter as they fear for their lives, the Taliban is ruthless. The fighting sparked a day after a police guard was killed on a United Nations Compound. How does that happen who do they have Splinter Cell Tom Fisher on their side? Needless to say, that is why things have intensified.

Since early May when the US troops began withdrawing, that’s the instant the Taliban started creeping forward.
