Thibodeau Wins Coach Of The Year & Jim Fassel Passes
New York, New York: Yesterday ‘The Big Apple’ was on an emotional roller coaster dealing with ‘joy and pain.’ Last year the New York Knicks were a dismal 21-45, the year before that 17-65. Tom Thibodeau came and changed the mentality. Tom knows what it takes to win in NYC, he was around when Ewing was playing ball. With a few tweaks and some good off-season moves Tom and the Knicks turned it around this year. Improving to 41-31 and locking in the team’s first playoff birth in eight years. Congrats coach on your honor of Coach of the Year it is well deserved.
On A sadder note, ex-Giants head coach Jim Fassel has passed away at age 71. It was reported Fassel complained of chest pains and was taken to the hospital where he later passed away while under anesthesia. Our thoughts and prayers here at IMU Media go out to Mr. Fassel’s family and friends. Jim was the Giants head coach from 1997 – 2003.
