Relationships really do mean everything. Urban Meyer was Tebow’s head coach at Florida, now he’s coaching the Jaguars and Tim Tebow is making his return to the NFL. 🤦🏻♂️ My man has been out of the league for 6 years and hasn’t made any kind of impact since he was starting for the New York Jets in 2012. 9-years-later you want to bring him in and try him out at Tight End a position he’s never played before in his life. Urban Meyer, what are you doing exactly? Trying to get someone to vouch for you and gain respect from players since it is your first NFL head coaching job?
Colin Kaepernick has shown dedication towards the sport he loves for years since he’s been banned from the league for kneeling during the national anthem while standing up for racial injustice. Tim Tebow went and played other sports after a lackluster NFL career. Kap nearly won a Super Bowl and holds two NFL records but he can’t even get a tryout. Tebow also knelt during the anthem but for religious reasons so it’s okay?
Cold Hard Facts
I hate to state the obvious that’s uncomfortable to talk about but it’s bluntly in our faces on a platform that generates millions and millions of dollars what is the only difference between these two men? The answer is the color of their skin, a difference in pigmentation none of us can do anything about. What is that other than privilege?
A white man is getting a chance to come back to the NFL, he kneels during the national anthem, he hasn’t started a game in nearly a decade, and you want him to play a position he never has before. A black man who loves the game he grew up playing, still has the ability to play at a high level, could come in and instantly improve some teams with his skill set, also knelt during the national anthem for his beliefs has been banned from the NFL. For kneeling the same exact thing Tebow did, that is what keeps Kaepernick from stepping on the field. The NFL is being hypocritical, they need to give Colin Kaepernick a tryout. We all know they won’t because it’s bad for business.
@shannonsharpe84, Michael Vick and Skip bayless with a classic conversation on privilege.
in 9 years, yet he has an opportunity to switch positions at the highest level. Really? We all know why Tebow got this opportunity. Let’s not pretend that he did something to earn it. @undisputedonfs1
