Two Days Two Children Shot In Philadelphia Heartbreaking

Last year the city of Philadelphia recorded 353 homicides the most since 2007. This year the total is already at 227, on Sunday a 2-year-old girl was killed in North Philly, the day before an 11-month-old baby boy was shot.
In Kensington a gunman opened fire on a house with no regards to who was inside. Three people were home a mother and daughter along with the repair man. One of the bullets struck and killed the little girl, another connected with the mothers head she is in stable condition, and a third bullet lodged itself in the stomach of the
Less than 24 hours before that tragic shooting an 11-month-old baby was shot inside a moving car. The baby’s stepmom said she didn’t realize he was shot until she parked. Police said the baby was shot four times, in the back of the head, his chest, and his buttocks.

An hour earlier just a mile away a triple shooting sent three men to the hospital, all are in stable condition, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Jim Kenney, Philadelphia Mayor had this to say;
“My prayers are with their families and communities during this tragic time. Philadelphians should not live in fear of violence that could take away a child’s life. But for too many, this is a sad reality. With the unabated flow of illegal guns and drugs, we must do whatever we can locally to address violence and help residents.”
