US And Russian Warships Nearly Collide In Arabian Sea

On Thursday the US Navy was conducting routine operations when a Russian warship came snooping around.

The US Navy reported that a Russian ship “aggressively approached” its destroyer in the Arabian Sea. The USS Farragut warned the Russian ship with five warning blasts from the ship’s horn. The ship then changed course avoiding a collision.

The Russian Defense ministry said they did nothing wrong. In a statement they said it was the US Navy that were grossly in violation of international rules.

“The crew of the Russian warship acted professionally, performing a maneuver that prevented a collision with the intruder ship.”
