Virginia Introduces One Of The Coolest Services We Have Ever Seen Delivery Drones

Just imagine your in the middle of Montana and the closest store is miles away and you desperately need band-aids or food.
Google and partner company Alphabet may have resolved such issues here in the U.S. They have developed “Wing’s” the first delivery drone service of it’s kind in America. In Christiansburg, Virginia residents can now have health care products and snacks delivered to their door in minutes.
Wing has stepped into the big leagues teaming with Walgreens and FedX. The Federal Aviation Administration earlier this year certified them as a commercial air carrier. This means you can have products flown to your residence from miles away, all from an app on your phone.
After you order the products needed they are packaged in a small card board box similar to a munchkins box from Dunkin Donuts. The next step in the process is the drone drops down a yellow hook and the box gets hooked up and retracted back.
The company has big aspirations, they would like to help reduce the amount of pollution by reducing the amount of delivery vehicle’s on the road. Customers who live in Christiansburg in the designated areas, Wing promises deliveries within minutes. A spokesman said if your interested in taking advantage of this service click here to sign up and get on the waiting list.
