Virtual Humans Are Officially Here Meet The Many Faces Of Neon
Samsung has been on the leading edge of technology for years and will be for years to come. The Samsung backed company Star Labs (Yes, you read that correctly just like the research facility from The Flash comics) introduced the world to an interesting new product: a virtual human named Neon.
On Monday at CES Neon was shown to attendee’s. Neon looks just like a real human and has the ability to show emotions, gain intelligence, learn about us, gain new skills and even evolve.
This is defiantly a cool thing, but also a bit scary. With all of that knowledge we still don’t exactly what Neon is or what there main purpose will be. Star Labs gave a broad description that doesn’t help much. They said: “Its not an AI assistant, but simply a friend.”
At first glance Neon looks very real and can carry on a conversation. The company’s Core R3 tech is what makes Neon tick. The technology allows law latency responses to humans.
Star Labs CEO Pranav Mistry says Core R3 can “automatically create new expressions, new movements, new dialogue, completely different from the original captured data.”
IMUer’s tell us what you think of Neon, are you ready for a generation of human looking robots?
