Want To Feel Better About Yourself, Simple Get Moving Science Proves It Works
There have been countless books, essays, and articles published about the benefits of being active and how the brain-body connection is real.
The video above is brought to us by Impact Theory a talk show created by Tom Bilyeu one of my favorite minds in the universe. This episode he sits down with Ph.D. Kelly McGonigal and they dive into the power of movement.
I myself have seen how movement really does make me feel better about myself. There are so many different types of movement to do to get your body and mind in sync it’s almost silly to not practice movement every single day.
Not gonna lie I have fallen off big time when it comes to movement. I notice a huge difference in my body and mind, I’m officially fed up as I write this and starting today will be back on my movement grind.
When you exercise you’re not only developing your self-discipline but you’re strengthening your brain as well. The body and mind are synching up. My mindset is off when I don’t exercise my body, I train my mind on a daily basis writing article after article and I read as much as I can.
Becoming A Better Me
My movement after today is going to be something I practice every day as well. When I was waking up every day by 5-6 a.m. I would hit the floor stretch, knock out 25 pushups and then head out for a walk listening to motivation/positivity. I was on it for months and felt amazing, I then fell off when I took on more responsibilities. I’m glad I took on the new opportunity but I slide movement to the wayside.
I now realize how important it is to remain balanced. Yes right now I have to work for someone else to make money to live, I also need to put the same amount of time into my dreams as I do into my 11-10 job. Working 11 hrs and writing 5-10 hrs a day doesn’t leave much time in between for exercise and sleep.
I’m done with making excuses I want to feel better and look better and I am in control of that. My self-discipline and willpower will now take precedent and I am going to get moving once again, who cares how cold it is outside and who cares if I only get 4 hours of sleep I will be more energized by moving my body!
