Best Catches In Week 9
Week 9 in the NFL was one a wild one. We saw San Fran improve to 8-0 and last night we saw The Patriots lose? Fans also got to witness a few upsets and some were left shaking their head.
Washington rolled into Buffalo and left licking their wounds after a 24-9 loss that dropped them to 1-8 on the season. Josh Allen threw for 160 yards and a score for the Bills, while Andrian Peterson picked up 108 yards on the ground in the loss.
The Texans got passed the Jags with relative ease in a 26-3 victory. Watson threw for 201 yards with two 2TD’s and Carlos Hyde was a beast in the backfield stomping his way to 160 yards.
Chicago looked to even their record at 4-4 with a win over the Eagles. The birds had other plans. Carson Wentz threw for 239 yard’s and a score as him and his boys held on for a tough win defeating the Bears 22-14. The Eagles are now 5-4 while Chicago dropped to 3-5.
Carolina got past the Titans 30-20. Ryan Tannehill hurled the ball for 331 yards and a score. Christian McCaffrey rushed for 146 YDS and 2 TD’s.
The Chiefs took on the Vikings. This one went back and forth all game and was decided by a field goal as the final seconds ticked away. Kansas City prevailed 26-23. Both teams now sit at 6-3.
Seattle hosted Tampa Bay and won in OT after missing a field goal at the end of regulation. Russell Wilson threw the ball 43 times, connected on 29 of them for 378 YDS and 5 TDs. Wilson set a record through nine games he is the only QB in the Super Bowl era to have 22 TDs and 1 INT. The Seahawks improved to 7-2 dropping the Bucs to 2-6.
The Pittsburg Steelers were able to get back to .500 with a hard fought 26-24 victory over the Colts (5-3). Denver got passed Cleveland 24-19, improving to 3-6.
The Oakland Raiders also got back to .500 with a 31-24 victory of the Detroit Lions. Detroit wasted Stafford’s 406 Yard 3 TD day.
Miami is no longer winless, handing the Jets their seventh loss of the season 26-18. Both teams now sit at 1-7.
The Los Angeles Chargers looked like a completely different team this week. They beat up the Green Bay Packers on all sides of the ball. They gave the home fans a jolt of hope as they beat the Pack 26-11. The loss dropped Green Bay to 7-2 while the Chargers improved to 4-5.
In the upset of the year so far Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens took it to New England the whole 60 minutes. Jackson looked fantastic and he kept the Patriots D off balance all game. Lamar completed 17/23 passes for 163 yards with a TD, his legs got him another 61 yards and 2 more TDs. The Ravens won 37-20, did they expose something about New England or did the Pats just have an off week? Only time will tell.
Tonight we close out week 9 with a battle between two NFC East teams looking for bragging rights. The 4-3 Dallas Cowboys take on the 2-6 New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
